Curatorial Statment

I approach curating as a form of public engagement that operates between art, education, and social practice. My work is grounded in the belief that exhibitions can function as active spaces of dialogue where participation, rather than spectatorship, shapes the experience of art.

I focus on developing child-centered and community-based curatorial models that position participants as cultural agents. In this context, curating becomes a collaborative process that brings together diverse perspectives, lived experiences, and forms of knowledge into shared cultural production.

Through initiatives such as Kids Biennale Indonesia, I investigate how exhibitions can act as pedagogical environments spaces that foster creativity, critical thinking, and emotional awareness. Central to my practice is the development of safe and inclusive frameworks, ensuring that participation is supported by ethics, care, and responsibility.

I am interested in expanding curatorial practice beyond display, toward a socially embedded approach that connects artistic processes with everyday life. My work seeks to contribute to a broader understanding of art as a collective, evolving, and socially engaged practice.
